Mary E. Hunt, Ph.D.
“...we were all dressed up with nowhere to go.” April 04, 2024
A trailblazer in Christian feminist theology, Dr. Mary Hunt, joins to reflect on how the world for women in religion has changed and how groups like hers are adapting.  She co-founded the Women’s Alliance for Theology Ethics and Ritual four decades ago with her partner Diane Neus. Today, Hunt explains how the small and nimble team continues to engage and provide support for women worldwide using technology and new ways of gathering.  Reflecting on her early journey into this work, Hunt shares lessons learned fighting for equality for women and fondly recalls trailblazers, including Interfaith Voices founder Sister Maureen Fielder.

Mary E. Hunt, Ph.D., Feminist theologian, cofounder, and codirector of the Women’s Alliance for Theology, Ethics, and Ritual (WATER) in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA.
