This is not a feel-good story… December 07, 2023
This week, Kelley Nikondeha joins to talk about why she wrote about that first season and how the book, released in October 2022, is now being discovered as more Christians want to learn about Palestine.

On December 3, 2023, the first Sunday in Advent, Christian liberation theologian and author of The First Advent in Palestine was invited to speak to a Christian congregation in a retirement community in Arizona.   Their response surprised her.  Instead of pushing back, they listened and shared stories of how they heard how their kids and grandkids saw the events unfold.

The occasional preacher and author describes her spiritual journey and how her message and learning evolved after trips to Israel and the Palestinian territories.  The book includes overlapping stories connecting biblical characters essential to the Advent story and those struggling today.
