Spotlight: Uncovering Sexual Abuse by Boston-Area Priests February 25, 2016
One of the nominees for Best Picture at the Oscars this year was "Spotlight"-- a movie based on the investigative reporting that blew open the story of widespread sexual abuse by Boston-area Catholic priests in 2002, and also proved a cover-up by  high ranking church officials. Reporter Mike Rezendes (played by Mark Ruffalo), discusses how the Boston Globe Spotlight team uncovered details of the scandal, and explains the Catholic Church's reach in Boston.
