The Case Against DIY Religion June 15, 2012
Ross Douthat knows that more and more Americans call themselves “spiritual but not religious” – but he’s not one of them. He laments that millions of Americans have left traditional churches and become followers of Elizabeth Gilbert, Oprah Winfrey, and Deepak Chopra. Douthat calls it heresy – bad religion. Rather than search for the God within, Douthat says the country needs a strong dose of religious orthodoxy.

Spiritual But Not Religious? Please Stop Boring Me June 15, 2012
If you find God in the sunsets, don’t sit next to Rev. Lillian Daniel on an airplane. No, seriously, she doesn’t want to sit next to you. “On airplanes, I dread the conversation with the person who finds out I am a minister and wants to use the flight time to explain to me that he is ‘spiritual but not religious,’ she says. “Being privately spiritual but not religious just doesn't interest me.” From November 2011.

Love, God Willing June 15, 2012

The Bachelor: The Mormon Version June 15, 2012
It’s kind of like the hit TV series, minus the hot tub scenes. On The Mormon Bachelor, a web series about to begin its fourth season, Mormon singles vie for the heart of an eligible Mormon mate, without breaking church teachings about pre-marital love. Interview by Ellen Rolfes.
