A new biography gives surprising and heretofore unpublished insights into the life and faith of Benedictine Sister Joan Chittister. Despite witnessing abuse in her childhood and a polio diagnosis, Joan went on to become one of the most respected spiritual leaders of our age, and the author of at least 40 books. We speak with Tom Roberts, author of Joan Chittister: Her Journey From Certainty to Faith, about this remarkable woman's life and her continuing influence in the world of spirituality and Catholic feminism.
