A gay, devout Muslim man recounts growing up in Pakistan, where being homosexual wasn’t just abnormal, it “wasn’t part of the vocabulary.” After moving to America, he grappled with the Quran’s seemingly clear condemnations against being gay, and eventually became a student of scripture interpretation.
