In her youth, Dorothy Day led a wild life by any standard. She lived with a man who was not her husband, had an abortion, and gave birth to a child out of wedlock. She's best known for founding the Catholic Worker movement. Now, the nation's Catholic bishops have decided that Day should be considered for sainthood - an interesting choice for a woman famously quoted as saying, "Don't call me a saint...I don't want to be dismissed so easily."

| Audio Postcard: Muscogee Stomp Dance |

November is Native American Heritage Month. This year, Tali Singer visited the Museum of the American Indian in Washington, DC to watch a sacred ceremony known as the stomp dance. It’s a holy ritual done in the summertime with the coming of the green corn crop. She sent us this audio postcard, featuring the Muscogee people of the southeastern United States.
